Does your dog need training?
Yes, and so do you.
Dogs are family members and friends. When they are given love and care, they will bring love and companionship and will constantly enrich our lives. A positive training program helps to safely and humanely teach and control our dogs and builds a bond between dog and owner.
Whether your dog is a puppy or adult they are always learning. Doggy Do-Right can teach both you and your dog a positive way to build a happy relationship and help to avoid problems and misbehavior.
Training Programs
Puppy Pre-School
To help you through your first four months, we concentrate our efforts on house-breaking, play biting, destructive chewing, jumping and basic socialization skills. Both group classes and individual training are available for these preliminary sessions.
Performance In-Home Training Reviews
Beyond convenience, there are great benefits to in-home training. After learning the commands in a distraction free area of your home, we will go into your neighborhood in search of your dog’s greatest distractions. Once your dog is holding the commands despite these distractions, we will begin to “transfer” the specifics of our training to all members of the family. Your dog will begin to work as reliably for you, as he does for the trainer.
Basic Obedience
We will establish a foundation of basic commands, such as sit, down, heel and stay. Your dog will learn these commands and be able to obey them in the most distracting environments. At this point, the shy dog will show signs of improved confidence, and the dominant dog will accept his new responsibilities. The owner will be in control and the dog will be feeling proud and confident in a newly defined relationship.
Advanced Obedience
Here we introduce the remainder of the commands with their corresponding hand signals. We also begin to prepare your dog for consistent obedience both off-leash and at a distance.

Following the completion of formal obedience, you may wish to explore more specialized forms of training:

Package Systems
In a package system, we will agree on a designated set of commands and establish a price based on the level of training required to meet your goals. The benefit to you is a commitment from the trainer to accomplish these commands in as little or as long as it takes.
The Package System includes training the dog to obey the commands even in distracting environments and then “transferring” the techniques to your family.

Ann Trupo is an alumni of National K-9 Learning Center in Columbus Ohio, a recognized leader in Dog Trainer Education. She graduated with honors and holds certifications in several training disciplines. Working independantly allows Ann to handle all obedience training personally.
